Today we went to a golf driving range. I played with my 7 iron, 5/6 iron, and my driver. We were playing and had so much fun until it started to rain. My dad and I played well. We got wet. But we decided we should finish our balls. We looked like professionals because we played in the rain until we finished our balls. After, we scrapped our shoes and we inside our car. Our shirt and our hair was very wet.
We went to Babu near Sobeys to buy fry rice and mixed vegetables for dinner. When we got home I played on my bicycle until my dad told me to come in. Later we had a warm bath. We went downstairs for dinner. We had a great feast. But we were wet. I had fry rice, mixed vegetables and a bit of sushi. They were very yummy. I wish I could have a jumbo box of fry rice.

We Won! We Won! We Won! We Won! We Won! We Won!
Today we went to Ashton Medal Field 1to play the soccer game at 6: 30. We were facing the purple team. We were guest team. At first they shot the ball and the goalie couldn’t save it. It was 1-0. A few minutes later we got a penalty because their teammate passed the ball to the goalie and picked it up. I shot and missed the very good chance. Later, I dribbled a lot and I shot from far away. The goalie dived to save it. He saved the ball on the post and bounced out. What a close chance!
At the end of the first half we were losing 1-0. At the second half we played much much better. Benjamin was my teammate and he was a super star. He could dribble past every single person and score. He dribbled past every single person and he scored a goal. It was 1-1. Then, the purple team got the ball and tried to dribble but failed and Benjamin got it. He dribbled past every single person and scored! Now he had scored two goals! My team was winning 1-2. After, he got the ball again and dribbled past everyone and scored! He had scored a Hat Trick. We were winning 1-3. The purple team got the ball again and tried to dribble past us but failed again! So Benjamin dribbled past everyone again and scored again! He had scored four goals! He had strike four! Next, Marcus dribbled past a few persons and scored. We were winning 1-4. When they got the ball a few minutes ago John scored. It was 1-5. I slid on the ground and wiggled my butt. I was dancing.
They got the ball and dribbled until there were only two defenders. I tackled him by kicking the ball to the side. If I didn’t tackle him, it would be a goal. When I got the ball I passed it to John and he kicked and the defender blocked it and the ball went high into the air and I kicked it. The goalie was little afraid but saved it. But when I got the ball the purple pulled my shirt and I pulled his pants. Free kick for my team. I shot and it was close. When they got the ball and they stepped on my foot and it was painful. They continued dribbling and they scored. It was 2-5. They got the ball and shot it high and the goalie blocked it. Close chance. Later, they got the ball again they scored and again and again. It was 4-5. We were still wining. Later, Peter got the ball and shot it. It deflected the ball of the player and into the net. It was 4-6. Later, the goalie went out and Tiger shot it not hard into the corner of the net. What a goal! It was 4-7. Then, my teammate scored the final goal of the game. It was 4-8. We were ecstatic. We shouted and screamed because we were ecstatic. Every kid in the yellow team got praised by their parents. WE HAD WON 4-8!

Today in the afternoon, the McCowan fire station
Today in the afternoon, the McCowan fire station came to our school. They showed us how the fire hoses worked. They could spray very far. I think they could spray a mile. We voted for 1 of the fireman to see which hose could spray higher of farther. The headman gave them names. The X man lost and the other one won. Then, they showed us the fire truck.
We stepped inside the fire truck and looked at all the equipment they had. They had a lot of equipment. The fireman only told us what the breathing masks and safety goggles were for. They had breath masks in case they had to breathe in smoke. The breathing masks protected them from breathing in smoke.
The safety goggles were for in case they had a truck accident. They could get the safety goggles without coming out of the truck. The fire truck was very big. They gave us frezeis to eat. I chose cream soda. I liked the flavor cream soda. It was yummy too. After that we had music class.

Milliken Mills Soccer & the meeting
Today, we attend Milliken Mills soccer game. We went to soccer field 2 at Village Parkway to my first soccer game in this summer. The referee told us that my team was the home team. Then, Benjamin my schoolmate, shot and a defender blocked it. I got the rebound and I shot and scored in the corner of the net. Hooray! Hurray! I scored in 10 minutes. Next, Benjamin shot and the goalie saved it. No goal for my team. We were winning 1-0. I think the other team was not tough. They were not even a little bit. After 30 minutes, it was substitution and I left because my mom had an important meeting at my mom’s friend’s house. It was dinner time when we arrived. I ate noodles with Chinese sauce and shrimp. I ate some meat too. After dinner, we went outside to play Team tag and Toilet Flush tag. When we finished playing outside, we went to the computer to play games. We first played Paxcon and then we played Webkinz. (Are you wondering what is Paxcon and Webkinz it is games?) We also went on the youtube to listen to songs. We listen to the songs Waving Flag, Blah Blah, Blah, some other songs. After, we ate fruit. I liked to eat pineapples. At the end, we played Paxcon again. And at about 10:15p.m., we left. I felt pleased because we had great fun.

What happened after dinner
After dinner, I rode my bike to Aeon’s house. Yameen didn’t meet at Aeon’s house. So, only Aeon, Tommy, Nicky, Stanley and I were at Aeon’s house. We came to play Wii. We played War first. Then, we played Mario Cart. In Mario Cart, I picked Youshi. We picked the red team and we were facing the Blue Team. Youshi was in last place 3 times and he was in first place twice. And DV Kong was in first place 4 times and DV Kong was in last place once. And after the game, they presented us a trophy. We won against the Blue Team! We played Wii until 8: 30. We finally went out to play with our bikes. Aeon gave me 2 “fruit by the foot” rolls. They were delicious candies. And I ate them while I biked home. I felt pleased because this was my first time to go to Aeon’s house.
Yameen comes to my house
After school, my mom took me to the barber shop. When we finished my hair cut, we went home. When I arrived home, I met Yameen, my classmate, on the street. I invited him to come into my house. I showed him all the rooms in my house. We played in the basement first. We played with the Toronto FC soccer ball. Then, we played floor hockey. It was fun. After, we played basketball. Next, we went upstairs. I showed him my computer. I showed him my mom and dad’s computer. I let him go into my room. I led him to my toy room. We played in the toy room. We played my cars. We enjoyed everything in the room. Soon, Yameen left at 5 o’clock. We said goodbye to him. After, Aeon rang my doorbell. He asked me to go to Nicky’s house. But, I had to finish my homework first. I told him to meet at Tommy’s house. Tommy was Aeon’s friend. We had fun.

Rikki-Tikki-Tavi----Story Retell
Today, I didn’t have any special thing to write about, so my mom told me to write a story retell. This is what I wrote:
A young English boy named Teddy went outside to explore. He found a small mongoose in the road. The mongoose called Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, had thick hair and a bushy tail that made him look like a cat. Teddy brought the mongoose home. Teddy’s dad told Teddy to dry the mongoose off. At bedtime he climbed into Teddy’s bed. The next morning, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi went to the garden outside the house. He heard a sad song and he saw the songbird, Darzee. One of her eggs had fallen out of her nest and a snake had eaten it. The snakes Nag and Nagaina were evil snake cobras. A big snake came towards Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. He was scared. The snake told him that his family had ruled the garden for thousands of years. Nagina, Nag’s wife tried to bite the mongoose but missed.
In the night, the mongoose heard a sound. The evil snakes were in the house! So, he went to his parent’s bathroom. There was Nag and Nagina! Nag whispered a plan to his wife, Nagina. The plan was to scare the people and to force the mongoose to go away. The mongoose heard the plan. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi’s eyes became red. Suddenly, he heard a crack. Teddy’s dad had hit Nag in the head with a stick. Nag died.
Then, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi went to the garden with a plan. The mongoose told the songbird, Darzee, the plan. Darzee went to distract Nagina while the mongoose went to find Nagina’s eggs. The bird fluttered down the path and Nagina followed closely. When Rikki-Tikki-Tavi carried of the last egg, Darzee flew close to him and told him that Nagina had trapped Teddy and his parents on the porch of the house. So, he went to the porch. They sat down to eat but none of them moved. The mongoose distracted Nagina and told Nagina that he had all the eggs. But he would give the last egg he had carried away from the garden. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi started a wicked fight on the porch with Nagina. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi forgot the egg. Nagina went to get the egg and raced off into the garden. The mongoose followed Nagina. The mongoose followed Nagina into the hole and the fight started again. Suddenly, the grass stopped waving and the animals thought the mongoose had lost. However, Nagina had taken the egg and never came back to the garden. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi had saved the family.
I like this story because I learned courage from the mongoose. He was so brave. I hope I have courage like the mongoose.

Ms. Cliff’s class v Ms. Muller’s class 40 players
On Friday, Ms. Muller told us to go outside and play with her class. So, we did go outside. We played class against class in soccer. We played well. Jake first shot it and the defender blocked it. The ball was high in the air so I did a side volley with my left foot. It went in! What a beautiful goal! It was between the two posts and just below the crossbar and higher than the goalie. It was Ms. Cliff’s class 1-0 Ms. Muller’s class. I gave Jake a high five. Later, Jake shot the ball and missed. Yameen shot and missed. Arul shot the ball and wasted it. Next, Jake dribbled past a person and shot. It was so close but not a goal.
After, I dribbled past a defender, then the other two, then one more, and then one more. I chipped it into the net. It was between two posts and just below the crossbar and above the goalie, same as before. What a wonderful chip! It was Ms. Cliff’s class 2-0 Ms. Muller’s class. My teammates gave me a big hug. They cheered for my team, too. Next, Ms. Muller’s class had two close chances but my team’s goalie saved both of them. A few minutes later, they shot and it went high into the air. They missed. And the game ended after a few minutes. I was overjoyed. We had defeated the strong team with 3 soccer heroes.
We had won 2-0. I hope we will win whatever team we face in furture.

EQAO Week
This week, we have EQAO tests in all the grade 3 and 6 classes. These tests are held by The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO). It aims to test students’ skills in reading, writing and mathematics at key points in their elementary-school education. Students are tested twice. First, it is at the end of Grade 3, to assess what they’ve learned throughout the Primary Division
(Grades 1-3). Second, it is at the end of Grade 6, to assess what they’ve learned throughout the Junior Division (Grades 4-6).
Our tests start on Tuesday and end on Friday. On Tuesday, we did Reading and Writing Part A section. On Wednesday, we did Reading and Writing Part B section. On Thursday, we did Reading and Writing Part C section. We also did Mathematics Part A section. Each section was long. Each section took me about 30 minutes.
After each section of EQAO, we usually will have about 40 minutes of free time outside or free time inside because of EQAO. Today, Ms. Cliff gave us lots of free time inside. Yameen, Rodney, Ethan and, I played with the pattern blocks. We used some blocks to build a small tower. We pretended there was a war outside of our village. Then, we had villagers, and soldiers with weapons, some soldiers with no weapons to fight against the bad guys. The air tanks sucked up the bad guys and put them in jail while the good soldiers fought with the weapons. After, all the bad guys were in jail. Ms. Cliff told us to clean up and we tidied up.

Giving Project--------Marigold
Few weeks ago, my Sunday school called BGSG gave us a “Giving Project”. This project was for grade 1-3. The teacher gave us six seeds, some soil, and a plastic pot. When I went home, I put seeds into the soil. Everyday, I had to water it. After seven days, I saw two small pieces of leaves coming out from the soil. Three days later, all six seeds germinated. They were very small. I was supposed to water the plants every day. However, I was so busy that I forgot to water the plants sometimes. I put it in the basement. It had not enough sunlight. As a result, the plants grew slowly.
After two weeks, I need to take it back to church and sell it for money. The teacher would collect the money and give to a charity organization called “Urban Promise”. Then, the charity would use the money to serve the poor. I didn’t sell my plants to the people because I want to reserve it for myself. I want to watch my plant growing. So, my mom gave $5 to buy it back. I thank mom.
Now, I put the pot outside on the deck in order to get more sunlight and water. I saw the plant get a little bigger and stronger. I hope it grows up to have flowers soon.
I think this project is meaningful because we can help the poor and meet their needs. I learn how to grow plants. The plants need water and sunlight. Now, I get more experience. Our Sunday school teacher taught us to love each others through this project.
