Black Creek Pioneer ψiĿĿaģe Part 2

After Lunch, we went on again. We visited the Blacksmith. They told us all about making black metals. You would stay there at the Blacksmith 3-7 years learning how to be a blacksmith. We went to the post office. If you give mail to the man and the man will give your letter a stamp. We also visited the Doctor’s house. Some parts of the house doesn't belong to the doctor. But one room was the wating room. The other one was the room where the doctor works. The Doctor’s medicines were on the cupboard. Then, we visited the school, and the church. The teacher wrote something on the chalk board and they had to memorize everything the teacher taught because there was no paper to be used. They had only small slates. We went into a shop. The man told us that the horse shoes were $10. We didn’t buy any horse shoes as we don't need it. At last, we went to see the mill. The mill was a dangerous place to work. Some people got there hands broken or legs were broken because of big sharp gear of the mill. The gear had different sizes. The largest one that I saw was 6 feet long in diamiter. They had to turn off the mill before they clean the gear. Later, we went to the mini zoo. We saw fat chickens, birds, goats, sheeps, and 3 job cows.

WARNING!

DON’T PUT ANYTHING NEAR THE JOB COWS! THEY MIGHT BITE! DON’T FEED THE JOB COWS!

So, we didn’t put anything near the cows and didn’t feed them. Later, when we saw the three fat white ducks, a woman dumped mud water all over the grass to empty the pool of water. That was so gross. We went to the parlor shop which sold shoes. We went to the printing office. I saw all the words were in mirror image. When it printed, it became normal. We went to an old hotel. You could rent any room. Next, we went back to the main building. We sat there for a while to wait for the school bus and to rest and cool down. Finally, the bus came and drove us back to Stonebridge Public School. I fell asleep when we were on the way back.
I liked this trip because I saw a lot of things that are interesting and can't be seen in the classroom. And I learned a lot of things valuable.

Black Creek Pioneer ψiĿĿaģe Part 1

Today, we went to Black Creek Pioneer Village for a field trip. We had to go all the way on the school bus to Steels. When we arrived in the main building, the staff gave each group a map. First, we went to Sam’s Lodge. That was the person who built the pioneer house we were visiting. Each family usually had about 8 children. The people in the family had to do chores, even children. The mother always had to hang up a sign that said “Waste not Want not”. That means they need to eat all the food in their rice bowl. So if they hunted animals to eat, they would do a prayer and kill what they need only. They taught us that the oven had to run even if it was hot.

                                                                          Oven

They need to use their hands to try the temperature and count the seconds. If it hurt their hands, they would take their hands back. The teachers showed us how to turn cow milk into butter. They would have a pot to put the milk in and a lid. The lid has a hole in the middle and you put a stick in the hole. You pull the stick up and down. Up and down until it was done. They taught us how to make apple pies, too. They asked Yameen, my classmate, to cut the apples into small pieces. They asked Danielle to smoothen the butter. The teachers taught me that the people had to do the soap washing, water washing, and drying the dishes. They would dust the floor and dust the furniture. Then, we went upstairs. It was cool upstairs. The room was surrounded by lots of chairs and a spinningwheel.

                                                                     Spinning wheel

They taught us that they would shave wool from the sheep and wash it. If they didn’t wash the wool, there would be mud, pee, and poo. The children had to use brushes and make wool into long pieces. The mother put wool in the spinning wheel and they put the feet on the front step. And notice that you can feel the string turning around and around. The bulb gets filled with wool. Early in the morning, children went out of their house and got buckets to fill water in. The children pumped water and carried it back. The mother would soon wake up and use the water.
Next, we went into the storage room like the garage room but without any light. The mother would go into the garage room and use a machine to finally stitch a clothing. There were two foot pedals. There were also have strings and a bar. They didn’t waste things. So, they rip long pieces of worn out clothing. They made a stick and they put the long pieces of ripped worn out clothing between the strings. They pushed the bar up and down 2 times. Then, they didn’t make any loops and they switched the other pedal. They sang this song to remember how to do these steps. “Beep, Beep, switch your feet”.
Later, we scraped wood off with a stick. And we finished 2 scrapers. And we used the old fashioned driller. We drilled holes in the wood. Before we had lunch, the ladies gave me a oatmeal cookie, and an apple cake with butter on the top. I swallowed everything they gave us. They were so delicious. Next, we had lunch. I had one and a half hot dogs and a bottle of water.

Ms. Foster’s class v Ms. Cliff’s class

At gym time, we played against Ms. Foster’s class in soccer. We played well. First, I shot the ball andoverof Ms. Foster’s defenders caught it. He passed it to the goalie and the goalie was supposed to kick it out to prevent the ball from going into the net. He accidentally let it go into the his own net. It was an own goal. As a result, it was 0-1. Later, there was an empty net on our side. They tried to shoot it into our net. But they missed. Next, they had an empty net and I tried to shoot but missed. After, there was no defender and one of Ms. Foster’s players shot it into our net. It was in the corner. So, it became 1-1. Then, Ms. Foster’s class had an empty net again. Yameen shot it lighly and a defender raced after it. So, I raced after the defender and kicked it into the net. What a beautiful shot! And we won. It was Ms. Foster’s class 1-2 Ms. Cliff’s class. (Aggrades was Ms. Cliff’s class 8-1 Ms. Foster’s Class.) I felt overjoyed. I hope when I get older, I can be a professinal soccer player.

Morning Recess & Lunch Recess

At morning recess I played soccer with my friend Cole. We first had more possession. We were doing well. Our defense was good and our attack was good. Then, a teammate on my team passed the ball to Benjamin and he shoot but a defender blocked it. I got the rebound and I shot it into the net. What a fantastic goal. My team was celebrating. We were wining 1-0. At the end of the first half it was 1-0 still. At lunch recess we played soccer with the same people. Next, Benjamin passed the ball to Noah and he shot it in. It was 2-0. Then, there was an empty net on our side and Cole shot it into the net. It was now 2-1. Later, Noah scored 2 more goals and Ashu on our team scored another goal. When lunch recess almost ended we quickly scored another goal. It was 6-1 and we won. I was proud of my goal and was happy for wining the game 6-1. It was a happy day.

The most Stupid Goalkeeper in the world

Today on the internet I found a video. It was called The most Stupid Goalkeeper in the world. The video started when there was a player in the middle and long passed it to a player in front of the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper saved the pass to the player in front of him. He put the ball down on the ground for 10 seconds. Suddenly, the player in front got it and he shot and he scored. I liked this movie because it is funny and the goalkeeper is Stupid and brainless.

My Balancing Game

On Saturday we went to a secondary school. We played the balance game there. But when we went there they were already finished playing the U9 balance game. But they said we could play with the U8. I was the oldest one in the U8 balance games. So I went to play. In the first shift, I played good. I dribbled past a few people and my team’s goalie was good. The goalie made only 1 save. In the second shift, I dribbled past people and shot 3 times. The last shot I did was the 4 shot. I dribbled past 3 people and I shot. It went in. It was 1-0. My teammates were happy. Next, my opponent team had the ball. They shot. My team’s goalie saved it. Then, a person dribbled and he shot. It was a goal. It was 1-1. At the end of the balance game was 1-1. I was felling good. I thought we could stay for the next balance game but we couldn’t. We had to eat the afternoon meal. So we left.

Soccer at Berzy Park

Today, we went to Berzy park to play soccer. My dad and I went on our bikes and rode to Berzy Park. My Mom drove her car to Berzy park. My mom brought along 5 cans of drinks and 2 packs of chips. There were 3 soccer fields in the park. In the right one there was a game going on. It was women soccer. In the middle one they were fixing the field and had to rebuild the field. So we used the left field. I was goalie first. I was a good goalie. I let in only 2 of all the shots. After, my dad was goalie. I was good. But after 35 minutes I had gain my muscles. I could kick very hard and very high. Next, we took drinks and we went to look at the women’s soccer game. They were only so so. They always kicked the ball outside the sideline and had to do a throw in to but the ball back in the game. Then, we went back to our field. We practiced again. This time, a lot of my shots went into the top of the net. Sometimes I kicked the ball over the net. These nets were the professional kind. The ball hit 4 times on the pole and 2 times on the crossbar. I was great at kicking it high and hard now. After my dad and I rode our bikes home and my mom rode on her car to home. Finally, my dad and I took a bath.

Crescheaven Golf Course

Today, we went to Crescheaven Golf Course to play golf. I didn’t play well with the driver for the first few holes. I had hitted the ball on the top with the driver. The ball was supposed to fly high if I hit the ball on the bottom. The ball just rolled on the ground for seconds. It was a little far away from the green. My dad asked me to hit with another ball. This time, I hitted the ball on the bottom and it went high. It went far, too. My putting wasn’t good, too. It took me lots of shots to make the ball go in. Fortunately, my chipping and pitching was good. I got a par in the fifth hole. It was a par. But when we played more holes my driver became better. On the nine hole I hitted the ball with my driver and it went on the green. That was a beautiful shot. It took me two shots for my putting. It was a par again. My dad didn’t play well. His putting was just so so. My dad hit with his driver and it went left or right. It was bad. It happened a lot of times. But we could always find his balls. A few times, my dad used an iron it was bad. Once, my dad hitted the ball with an iron. It was bad. Then, he decided that he had to hit with another ball. The second time was even worse. It was a disaster stroke. The few last holes I had to use my driver. I didn’t play well with my driver in these holes. My 5/6 was good. I used this iron for long distance pitching. In the last hole I hitted the ball on the outside of the green. I chipped the ball it was good. It was very close. It just went past the flag. It could have been a boogie. But the chip was close. It was a triple boogie. But it was still good. It went past the flag. After the last hole, we went home. It was already evening.

Golf

Today, we went to a driving range. There was a golf clinic there. I met my coach. He was nice. I learned what the tiger stance was. Then, I begin hitting balls with my iron. After, the coach told us to hit the balls with a driver. The three coaches told us what the difference about the iron and the driver. The iron hits a shorter distance than the driver. We begin hitting balls with the driver. After a while again, the coach asked us to stop. They asked us to hit our target. Our target was to hit tennis balls using and iron and the ball will stick to the rubber. Whoever’s ball get stuck on the rubber wins. But no one won. Next, he asked us to hit golf balls using an iron. Finally, we left. It was lunchtime. So we went to Cora.

I ordered a French toast with chocolate milk. They gave me something to color. I was happy. After, we went home.
